Threshold
Ireland's national housing charity. Free advice on tenancy rights, illegal evictions, rent disputes, and deposit retention. Can intervene directly with landlords on your behalf.
RTB (Residential Tenancies Board)
The state body that regulates the rental sector. Register disputes, check if your tenancy is registered, and access the Rent Pressure Zone calculator. Filing a dispute costs €15 (free if on social welfare).
Free legal advice
FLAC (Free Legal Advice Centres)
Free legal advice clinics across Ireland, including housing and tenancy law. Walk-in clinics in most towns, plus a phone line. Ideal if you need legal advice before taking action.
Citizens Information
Comprehensive information on tenant rights, rent reviews, notice periods, deposit protection, and how to make a complaint. Also offers in-person appointments at local centres.
Legal Aid Board
Means-tested legal aid for those who can't afford a solicitor. Covers housing disputes, illegal eviction, and discrimination cases. You may qualify if your income is below €18,000.

Focus Ireland
Supports people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. If you've received an eviction notice and have nowhere to go, contact them immediately.
Simon Communities
Emergency accommodation and support for people experiencing homelessness across Ireland. Operates services in Dublin, Cork, Galway, the Midlands, and the Northwest.
MABS (Money Advice & Budgeting Service)
Free, confidential advice on managing debt, budgeting, and dealing with financial difficulty. Useful if rent arrears are a concern.
Local Authority Housing Section
